| The simple story that they would have you hear is this. Miyabi, or Mi rather, brutally murdered his Father in retaliation for the abuse he received during his life. At the mere age of thirteen and striking out against his abuser. There is some truth to this and some story. Mi was unwanted. In every sense of the word. Mother having found out she was pregnant too late to get an abortion, she tried everything in her power to destroy the baby she didn't want. Making herself unhealthy to the point that Mi sucked all the remaining nutrients from her body. The labor was forced early, in hopes of saving his Mother. In hopes, but hopes failed and Mi was taken home without a Mother to care for him, if she even would have. His Father did little more to care for him. Most of his life being doted on only by his Father's lovers when his Father was near. Glared at when his Father wasn't. Neglected and abused. Beaten down and pushed around. Never did he attend school, his Father signing all the papers to get him his home school 'education' the easy way. Not that it mattered to him if Mi learned. He preferred not to see the child, ever, and if he did, and if no one was around, Mi would be hit and told that he was the reason his Mother had died. He was told that often. The words yelled at him day in and day out. But it was better to hear yelling. It was when his Father was silent around him that he had to worry the most, beating then more horrible than usual. And over time Mi began to develop a fear of silence and, over more time, voices to fill it. Just distant mumbling, voices associated only with certain places where silence was a bad thing. And then, a year after the voices started... Mi’s Father was sleeping. Mi was cooking. Mi had a knife. You can fill in the blanks. Seven stab wounds, one knife. Six days before people noticed. Six days of passing that body when coming and going from his home. Six days before he was arrested for his crime. As planned? And then the tiny twist. The will. A will. Miyabi was the sole beneficiary to his Father’s fortune. And yes, there was a fortune. More than enough to let Mi live comfortably his entire life. And what did it go to? Something nice. Enrollment. In a facility for teenage rehabilitation. Instead of prison the teenager agreed to attend a three to six year boarding house for youngsters. For institutionalized teens and children who, for the most part, could still function properly in normal society. And it was a lovely place, luxurious and very upper class. But experimental for someone like Mi. A murderer. So after three years, he was required to transfer to another institution for a second opinion, per say. If he passes? He’s sentenced two ten years in prison. If he doesn’t? He stays where he is until he does. So what is the basics. He’s determined, he’s deceiving, he doesn’t want to leave. |
